Almost home

Oh my goodness... for about 3 weeks it has rained every day. Somedays it will look like it will be a nice day, then the "foggy smoggy" stuff comes in and makes it rain! Everyone here says it is ok cause then they won;t turn "black". It is funny, at home being white is not a good thing, but here people buy all this crap to try to make themselves white. Everywhere I go people always comment on it and say how white I am. I guess I'm used to it now but it is funny tht I can understand that kind of thing rather then things like what's your name and how old are you. I finally got the where are you from downpat. Na li ren ma?

Dinner last night was fun. We went for chinese style Korean food. It was good but it is NOT like the real thing at all! I'll be glad to get to Korea and I can eat all the bulgogi and Japchae that I can eat...oh I can;t forget about the chapaghetti. Because I'm a foreigner here everyone wants to show that they are accepting of me and a way to do that here is to give you a drink. There were a bunch of teachers out at dinner ( both guys and girls) and the guys kept wanting me to drink beer. Here the beers in the restruant are HUGE! they give you these juice glasses and out some beer in them. They are really big on "cheers-ing" or here itis gambe...meaning finish your glass. So if they look at me and say gambe then I gotta drink my whole drink then they will pour again. So I learned to have the bottle beside me then i could control he amount that went into my glass. I tell ya you feel your beer after a few gambe's when the guys are pouring!

8 weeks till I get to come home ( or well until I have to leave China) Going to Korea for a bit before I come home but Korea is like my second home I guess... I mean hey, My asian sister is there...

Wow... ok at home I can put up with no airconditioning but here I'm VERY thankful for it! I can;t belive how hot it gets here and sooo quickly! in the morning it is a bit cool.. then by afternoon it is totally time to sit beside the airconditioner! it gets sooo humid to! and with the humidity it gets rainy! I can;t wait for Canadian weather again! the humid, muggy days there are like the normal days here!

anyways I know this one was a short entry but I have to plan my lessons for the week.

Well today is the first entry to this thing. I didn;t do much today. I got my hair washed and straightened out, then got a massage. I guess I should get my fill of these things while they are still cheap. I don't know what I'll do when I have to pay $30 for a hair cut! 

China is good. I'm used to being here now. I still get cravings for WEIRD food... Today it was A&W onion rings... I mean ya they are good but not something I'd eat all the time.

Working hard on the bet thing... trying to figure out what I'm gonna spend the money on...well it will be clothes but what kind...that is the hard part! I'm out 24 lbs and still planning for more. Having trouble finding clothes that fit anymore...not cause they are too small ( that is a good thing, but a bad thing cause everything hangs wrong and falls off if I'm not careful)

Just started the 9th week till I leave china!!! not much longer now.... This last term has gone by SOOO fast!
